Gift to Geological Department.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Geo. A. Gardner has given to the university $5000, in addition to the $500, given some time ago, to found a permanent fund the income of which is to be used for taking and purchasing pictures in Geology. This gift is most to the point of any that has been received by the Geological department for some time, as it is along this line that future study of Geology is to extend, that is by bringing into class room photographs of fields which the classes cannot visit. The Geological department already has a large collection of photographs which is kept in the museum.
