Last evening the St. Paul's Society gave a smoke-talk at the Colonial Club, to meet the incoming members from the class of 1901. The Rev. Endicott Peabod of Groton, and Mr. Chamberlain, of the Scientific School, gave short addresses to the members and their guests.

Mr. Peabody spoke in a very interesting vein on the college life at Cambridge and Oxford, dwelling on the athletic, intellectual and religious sides of university life. As Mr. Peabody is a graduate of Trinity College, Cambridge, his views on the university life in England as compared with the life in the American Universities were particularly interesting.

After Mr. Peabody's address, Mr. Chamberlain spoke on behalf of concentrating the church work of the society.
