Five members of the Harvard Gum Club shot a practice match at the Wellington Gun Club yesterday afternoon. The shooting of the Harvard team was by far the best done this year. Runs of ten straight were repeatedly made by Talbot, Gould and Sargent, though the exact scores were not made public.
A match is now being arranged between the Wellington and Harvard gun clubs for next Saturday afternoon. The gun club hereafter will practise regularly every afternoon, in preparation for the Yale-Harvard match which comes off the morning of the Yale-Harvard football game at Springfield.
