During the holidays a vote was taken, by mail, for captain of the Yale crew in place of Gould '92, resigned, and Hartwell was unanimously elected. He did not row last year but was on the winning crews of '89 and '90.

The base ball candidates have begun work in the cage, supervised by Captain Murphy. The track candidates will work in the gymnasium under Captain W. B. Wright. The long and short distance men will be divided into two squads and Yale will make the strongest effort this season to win the track championship that she has made for three years.
