The second volume of Professor Norton's translation of Daute's Divine Comedy has appeared and is for sale by the booksellers. The translation of the first division of the poem, Hell, has been reviewed at length in the CRIMSON and notice of the book at hand is unnecessary further than to say that the Purgatory, as a translation of marvelous accuracy rendered in surpassing prose, fullfills the promise of the first volume that if there is to be a universally standard translation of the Divine Comedy this work will fill that place.
