U. of P. Winter Athletic Meeting.

On Saturday evening, February 13th, at 8 o'clock, the same date as the B. A. A. indoor meeting, occurs the fifth annual winter meeting of the U. of P. Athletic Association. It will be held at the American Academy of Music, Broad and Locust Streets, Philadelphia. Six of the events are open to all amateurs; 35 yard dash, scratch, and five handicap events; 440 yard dash, (20 yds. limit), half-mile run, (40 yds. limit), mile run, (80 yds. limit), running high jump (6 inches limit), 220 yds. hurdle race, over 8 flights, 2 ft. 6 in. high, (12 yds. limit). No spiked shoes are allowed. Mr. E. C. Carter, N. Y. A. C., will act as handicapper. The entrance fees, 75 cents for each entry must be handed in not later than Jan. 30th to F. H. Lee, 4216 Walnut St., Phila. Gold medals will be given to firsts, silver to seconds, bronze to thirds. The rules of the I. C. A. A. will govern all contests.
