8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
The Easter trip of the Yale and Princeton nines was largely spoiled by bad weather. The Yale team beat the Manhattan Athletic Club in New York, Wednesday, by a score of 15 to 0, in a tolerably well played game. In spite of the indications of the score, Yale's batting was extremely weak. On Saturday Yale beat the New Havens 6 to 1 in a well played game. Neither of the games with the Philadelphias were played. Bad weather prevented Princeton also from playing at Philadelphia. On Friday Princeton beat Williams 7 to 2 in a game in which Young struck out nine men and prevented Williams from getting a base hit during his five innings in the box. On Saturday Princeton put up a remarkably strong game in New York. The league team won, 4 to 1, but all its runs were made in the last inning. Bergen and Young struck out ten men between them.
