8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports

Ninety-Four, 9; Ninety-Three, O.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The sophomores and freshmen opened the class series yesterday afternoon on Jarvis Field before a large crowd.

The freshman team had little difficulty in winning the game and even succeeded in blanking their opponents. The Ninety-four battery was very steady and played a good game. Corbett showed great improvement over some of his recent attempts, and held Minton well. The team ran bases poorly and did not bat well.

The sophomore nine showed their want of practice in batting, and their base running was wretched. Merriam played well at first and made a good stop in the first inning.

The umpires appointed by Captain Dean, Henshaw and Quackenboss, failed to appear, and the captains were forced to find two others.
