Scratch Races for Four-Oars.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The first scratch races of the Harvard Rowing Club for the season of 1891 will be held at 4 o'clock on Thursday afternoon April 30. The course is not quite a quarter of a mile, and will be laid between the Harvard Rowing Club and the stone wall. The entry fee is 25 cents and the entries will be closed Tuesday at 6 p. m. Entries may be made at the club house.

The winning crew will receive cups. All members are requested to enter in order to make the event interesting. The course is so short that want of training should prevent no one from entering. The crews will be chosen by lot on Tuesday night and boats will be reserved for their use on Wednesday.

The club house will be open on Thursday to all members of the University who desire to witness the races.

Per order Committee.
