Crew Notes.

The men were put to work in the tank yesterday for the first time since it was remodeled. The test shows that the tank is much improved over any previous year, and it is hoped that much more satisfactory results will follow. Heretofore, the crew has received little or no benefit from the tank work.

The old men have all been called out, but several have not shown up on account of sickness. Powers, Bartholomay, Hickman and Clow are among those not yet at work. The following is the order of the men as they rowed yesterday: Stroke, Ninde '93; 7, Rantoul '92; 6, Cummings '93; 5, Newell '94; 4, Bond '94; 3, Slade '93; 2, Acton M. S.; bow, Cauthorn G. The other crew: Stroke, Ninde; 7, Saltonstall '94; 6, Weed '92; 5, Williams '94; 4, Acton; 3, Blake '94; 2, Grant '95; bow, DeRoschmont '94.

From this time the work will be steady and vigorous, and we shall see an interesting struggle for the positions in the boat as finally made up. The men all seem to be decidedly in earnest and no one will allow a place to be filled without a tremendous effort on his part.

Adams and Perkins were both at the tank. Adams took full charge. Mr. H. W. Keyes will be here in a few days and give a helping hand.
