At the last meeting of the board of government of the Manhattan Athletic Club it was decided to send a team composed of the best American athletes to England about the middle of June. This will be in ample time for the men to compete in the English championships in Manchester. The team will probably be accompanied by Captain Cornell and Trainer Robinson and the expenses of the trip will be defrayed by the receipts of the M. A. C. indoor games which are to be held in Madison Square Garden on March 14. The team will be made up as follows:
100 yards dash-Carey or Westing, and perhaps both.
440 yards run-Carey, Roddy and Remington.
Half mile run-Roddy, Dadmun.
Mile run-A. B. George.
Four mile run-T. P. Conneff.
Steeple chase-W. T. Young or W. McArthur.
Walks-Lange, Nicoll or W. W. Gregg.
Running high jump-R. I. Pritchard, H. L. Hallock or A. H. Green.
Pole vault-Z. A. Cooper.
Running broad jump-A. F. Cope, land.
Hurdle race-A. F. Copeland.
Heavy weights-Queckheiner or Lambrecht.
