The annual prize debate of the Harvard Union occurs this evening. The general interest manifested in the joint debate with Yale will undoubtedly increase the usual large attendance. The question selected is one of general interest, upon which every student has his opinions. This debate has a peculiar significance for the Boylston prize speakers, since it is the only opportunity afforded to test the comparative merits of the various aspirants. Again this occasion is important for upon its results depends in large measure the selection of disputants to represent Harvard in the joint debate at New Haven, and the rivalry among the candidates is keen. The debate is open to all members of the University, and every one is invited to compete for the prize, which will be an appropriate souvenir of the occasion.
