At its last meeting the Harvard Union voted to hold a national nominating convention of all parties, on Friday, April 29. The convention will be open to the University. Seats will be assigned for the different states, and men are requested, on entering, to seat themselves with the delegations from their own states. Each state will have as many delegates, less one, as it has electoral votes, under the new apportionment, but every state shall be entitled to at least 3 delegates. The chairmen of delegations will act as leaders of them. Prominent men in college have been invited to act as chairmen of delegations and delegates at large.

After a permanent chairman has been elected, nominations for President of the United States will be in order. Nominating speeches will be limited to five minutes, and men wishing to nominate candidates, are requested to send their names and their candidates' names, to H. A. Bull, 36 Felton Hall, by Wednesday, when the committee will appoint one man to nominate each candidate (candidates may be of any party.) All other men wishing to speak for any candidate will be allowed to second his nomination in two-minute speeches. On the ballot, each delegate will vote for one man for the nomination of each party. After every party has nominated a candidate, an election will be held in order to obtain an expression of the political sentiments of the University. The committee having the convention in charge, is making very complete arrangements for the convention. All the men who spoke in the Yale debate, and many other good speakers will make nominations or second them. The convention will do its work like a regular national convention, and will undoubtedly be a great success.
