St. Paul's Society.

Rev. Waldo Burnett of Southboro addressed the St. Paul's Society in 17 Grays last night.

He said that perseverance is as necessary for success in religion as in anything else, and it is especially necessary at Harvard where is practically no religious life. At Oxford it is very different; all the professors and dons are strong church men, and thus it is much easier to be steadfast in religious work.

One thing that is very helpful in perseverance is to live day by day, to look into the future and to think how long we have got to work, but to do each day's work as best we can and to let the future take care of itself.

It is of very great advantage for college men to have some practical work, as working in the slums or teaching in night schools.

A business meeting was held after the service.
