What Yale Says of the Game.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The following extracts relative to the game at Springfield are taken from the Yale News:

Yale's victory may be attributed to a number of causes. The careful coaching of the new material by our graduates, the low, clean tackling of the Yale forwards, the invincible defensive work displayed whenever Harvard had the ball and the superb team work of our entire eleven, all contributed to bring about one of the greatest victories ever won by a Yale team.

The game was a remarkable one, not a man on either side being forced to retire on account of injury.

The Harvard team deserves the greatest credit for the determination with which they contested every inch of ground after Yale had scored against them.
