Ninety-five vs. Andover.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The freshmen went to Andover Saturday and were beaten by a score of 44 t - 5 in two thirty minute halves. The game was closely contested for the firs fifteen minutes, but after that Andover out played Harvard at every point. Andover worked the criss-cross with good effect all through the game, while Harvard's gains were almost all made formed the ends.

Harvard's backs fumbled continually. Time and again they would make long gains by their fine running and interference, only to lose the ball to Andover by inexcusable fumbling. Andover too did a great deal of fumbling, but her whole team followed the ball so much better than the freshmen did that they rarely lost it even when they did rumble.

95's only points were made during the first half, when, after line rushes by Jackson and Reed, Phelan kicked a good from the field Andover scored 18 points in the first half and 26 in the second.

The main faults of the fresh man team were their fumbling and their very inefficient following of the ball. Their tackling and interference were fairly good.

The teams were made up as follows:

ANDOVER. HARVARD, '95.

Sears, (left end) Boyden.

Beal, (tackle) Wardner.

Foley, (guard) Eddy.

Perkins, (centre) Kaven.

Coonley, (guard) Murchie.

Armstrong, (tackle) Davis.

Foster, (right end) Richardson.

Jennings, (quarter-back) Whitman.

Woodruff, Jackson.

Millard, (half backs) Reed.

Hopkins, (full-back) Phelan.
