The first monthly social of the Y. M. C. A. was held last night in the rooms of the society in Lawrence Hall, and was very well attended. The programme was unusually good, and was very much enjoyed by all. The quartet from the Glee Club, - Messrs. Dole, Berry, Farwell and Bruegger sang two or three times, and Mr. Berry sang a number of solos. Prof. Kittredge extended a few words of welcome to the students, touching upon the growth of the society since his own day, and its usefulness and importance in the college life. Refreshments were served during the evening, and everybody joined in closing in a few college songs.
