Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
The single wherry scratch races of the Harvard Rowing Club were rowed yesterday afternoon on a quarter mile course from the Weld Boat House. A strong wind was blowing down stream and the tide was going out so that the races were rowed in very quick time. There were two preliminary heats of three men each. The first heat was started from the bridge at about 4.15 o'clock, the second following in about fifteen minutes. Both heats were well contested; the cold wind seemed to nerve the men up to their best work.
The men in the first heat were Abbe, Hastings and Curtis. Curtis was winner.
In the second heat were Spurr, Dodge and Stone. Dodge won easily.
The final heat between Curtis and Dodge was very close. Curtis led up to the last two lengths of the course. Here he gave out and Dodge won the race.
The prizes are cups which will be placed in Leavitt & Pierce's next week on exhibition. Baker was referee.
