Fall Tennis Tournament.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The annual fall tournament of the H. L. T. A. will begin promptly at nine o'clock this morning. All matches except the finals will be two sets out of three, no advantage sets except the third. In the finals the matches will be best three out of five, all advantage sets. Owing to the large number of entries, players must be on hand promptly, and the committee reserves the right to default any man not ready when his match is called. Players will report to the secretary, W. D. Orcutt '92, at the Carey building, at 9 o'clock sharp, and have their courts assigned to them. First, second and consolation prizes will be given in singles, and first and second prizes in doubles. All beaten by the winner are eligible to compete for second prize, and all defeated in their first match actually played are eligible to compete for the consolation prize. As exactly 64 men have entered there will be no preliminary round, but all men begin on an equal footing in the first round.

The tournament is the largest college tournament ever held, and is next to the largest tournament of any kind ever given in the United States, the Newport tournament of this year alone exceeding in the number of entries. The drawings are as follows:
