As the crew this year has received scarcely any money except that raised by subscriptions, it finds itself very much in need of funds.
Several men have promised money, but have not yet paid; also there are certain men who, living at a distance from the yard, have never been asked to subscribe, owing to the difficulty of finding them. All those that have promised, and all the others that possibly can, are earnestly requested to subscribe at once, as the crew leaves for New London on Tuesday.
Subscriptions, no matter how small, are solicited, and may be sent to the treasurer, New London, Conn.
SAMUEL DEXTER, 1ST President H. U. B. C. LAWRENCE BROOKS, Treasurer.
