Scrub Nines Series Begun.

The first game of the scrub nines series took place on Norton's Field yesterday afternoon, resulting in a victory for Childs' nine over the Hoodoos by a score of 20 to 9. The nines were made up as follows: Childs'-McKay, Childs, Stevens, Henry, Gray, Codman, Thorndyke, Smith, Hunt; Hoodoos,-Fiske, Hoppin, Barlow, Pierce, Hoadley, Carey, Bell, Hoppin, Weld. A game was also scheduled between the Blue Jays and Clippers, but the Clippers did not appear.
