The Outing.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The article of most direct interest to college men in the February number of the Outing was written last November by Mr. R. M. Hodge, on the then vexed question of which college would win the football championship. Speaking of the condition of things in November Mr. Hodge says that Harvard football is characteristic of the Harvard spirit of indifference. Yale is always conservative. The extremis individualism of the college spirit at Princeton, is the most salient point of her eleven's play. Mr. Hodge shows some judgment in pointing out the merits and defects of each team, but ventures no final opinion as to which will win. The article is accompanied by a photograph of the Princeton eleven.

The other articles in this number are perhaps less interesting than usual. No one of them rises above mediocrity Charles Turner writes with evident interest of Newcastle, under the sanction of "The Metropolis of the Turt," Other short and very sketchy articles are on "Tarphon Fishing" "Fencing for Women" Tobogganing, etc.
