The Memorial Window.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The new window in Memorial is a memorial window given by the class of '59. Mr. John La Farge, the artist, was the designer of two other windows in the hall, and also of the windows in trinity Church, Boston.

The subject is an old Roman one. The mother of the Gracchi is called upon to display her jewels, and brings as her jewels her children. The figure of her mother is a very beautiful one. The glass in the whole window has been selected with great care, and is very brilliant in color, paint being used only for the flesh tints.
