The game between Boston Latin and '91 on Norton's field was called at 3.50, B. L. having the ball. Whittemore led with a rush, gained 20 yards, lost on a fumble. Touch-down by Corning three minutes from opening of game. Goal. Soon after another touch-down was made. No goal. Score 16-0. Rushes by Whittemor and Grinncll advanced the ball 25 yards. By a brilliant rush Twombly advanced the ball 20 yards. Touchdown by Winthrop. No goal. Mason made a good rush and touch-down. Final score, 30-0. B. L. were especially strong and effective in their rushes. Lewis and Twombly played well; and Gould's playing was the feature of the game. The seniors were weak in their centre and the quarter-back fumbled. Exeter weight of '91 men accounted for the score; they played without any life and above all lacked team work.
The make-up was as follows: '91-rushers-Keene, Goldthwaite, Black, Winthrop, Bangs, McLeod, Corning, (capt.); quarter-back-Guerin; half-back-Mason, Harris; full-back-Weld.
B. L. S.- rushers-Wrenn, Warren Butler, Teele, Gould (capt.), Dodge, Houghton, Lewis; quarter-back-Twombly; half-backs-Whittemore, McPhearson; full-back-Grinnell.
Referee-Smith, B. L. S.; umpire-Bow '91.
