There are twenty-eight men now trying for the Cornell crew, five of whom were in last year's boat, and will probably retain their seats. The training began last Saturday with a hard three mile run. This will be continued every day and the new rowing machines which will soon be ready, will be used regularly. The candidates with the weight of each man are as follows:
