Some substantial gifts have been made to Williams lately. Among them is the bequest of $50,000 received by the will of the late William Hilton. In addition Judge Dervey of Worcester, has established two scholarships of $3,000 each, and the interest of $1,000 as a prize to the one pronouncing the best oration on commencement day.
