Both the 'Varsity and the freshman lacrosse teams are now busy with their work and practice every day either on Holmes or on Jarvis. The freshman team has so far confined its work to playing against the 'Varsity, but will soon begin work by itself. At present there are but eight candidates for the team, when there should be at least twenty. The reason for so small a number of men presenting themselves is not at all apparent, but there can be but one result, unless more men come out soon, there will be no freshman team this year. There are at present about twenty men trying for the 'Varsity team, but although the material is very satisfactory as regards amount, the quality is not all that could be desired and the loss of some of last year's team will be greatly felt.
