The first shoot in the handicap series was held yesterday in a high, cold wind. The birds were exceedingly difficult, and consequently the scores, with two or three exceptions, were poor. The scores were: R. Sterling 23, Dove 23, Prescott 21, G. Kinnicutt 19, Shepard 17, Byrd 16, Dupont 15, Knoblauch 15, F. Kinnicutt 12, Lawton 11. Sargent, F. Sterling, Paine, Shaw and Goodridge did not finish. The second shoot in the series will be held next Monday.
