The meeting of the junior class last night was called to order Lower Massachusetts at 7.35, Mr. Rantoul in the chair. After the reading and approval of the minutes of the last meeting, Mr. Newell took the chair and announced that nominations for president of the class were in order. Mr. Neal Rantoul was nominated by F. W. Mac Donald, and seconded by J. H. Hunt. Mr. H. McK. Landon was nominated by A. R. Crandell and seconded by C. R. Cummings. W. P. Tryon and C. R. Cummings were elected tellers for Landon and R. Saltonstall and F. McDonald tellers for Rantoul. The secretary of the class was appointed to act as the fifth member of this committee. After some discussion the tellers were given full power to decide who was eligible to vote. The roll was called and each man deposited his ballot as his name was called. This process and the counting of ballots took much time and it was after nine when Mr. Follansbee announced the result. Rantoul received 127 votes and Landon 97. The class then proceeded to the election of a vice-president and a secretary. Mr. Newell and Mr. Follansbee were re-elected unanimously. N. Neff was elected captain of the nine, and J. O. Porter captain of the crew. W. C. Forbes read a report in regard to the management of the crew, which was accepted. It was voted that Mr. Rantoul be authorized to appoint a committee of five to make arrangements for the junior dinner. Finally, after passing a vote of thanks to Mr. Follansbee, the meeting adjourned.
