An adjourned meeting of the board of overseers of Harvard College was held Wednesday forenoon at 50 State street, with Colonel Charles R. Codman in the chair. The time of meeting was taken up with a discussion of the report of the committee on the discipline and government of the college, the desire to speak on the subject leading to an adjournment of the board to Wednesday next. It was voted to concur in electing a trustee of the Museum of Fine Arts for a year from January 1, and Messrs. William Gray, Henry J. Bigelow and Henry Lee were appointed a committee to act in the matter. A letter from the committee to suggest names of candidates for overseers, asking the opinion of the board on the eligibility of the preachers to the university as candidates for the board of overseers, was referred to the committee on elections.
