Eighty-nine and Ninety-one played off the tie in the lacrosse championship series yesterday afternoon, and Eighty-nine won by a score of 3 to 0. Ninety-one came to the field with only ten men, and Eighty-nine, who might have played with their full team, dropped two men to make the sides equal. Eighty-nine forced the playing from the start and kept the ball in their opponents' territory most of the time; but Ninety-one's defence prevented the other side from scoring for about 26 minutes. Griffing then secured the ball at one side of the goal, and, as Davis ran out and checked him, passed to Hunneman, whom the defence failed to cover. Hunneman threw a goal easily. After about ten minutes more of play, Griffing tossed the ball in from behind goal. Walcott, who was directly in front of goal, attempted to throw the ball to one side, but an attack man checked his stick and the ball struck it and bounded back between the poles. It lacked a minute and a half of the full time when Marquand threw the last goal for Eighty-nine. Ninety-one had few chances for goals except some long throws by Tudor and Hall, which were easily stopped. In the last minute, however, while Eighty-nine was trying to waste time and playing rather carelessly, the ball came very near going through the goals; but Vorse threw himself at full length in front and warded the ball off. Ninety-one did not do their best and were outplayed at every point. Nevertheless, some members of the team did good work and will make available candidates for next year's 'varsity twelve. There will be several vacancies in this team, and some places will undoubtedly be filled from half a dozen or more of the freshmen who have made a good showing this season.

The final score in the series of class games is as follows: Eighty-nine-won 3, lost 1; Ninety-one-won 2, lost 2; Ninety-won 0, lost 2. The teams yesterday were made up as follows:- Ninety-one-Morton, Davis, Amory, Stead, Walcott, Everett, King, Jones, Hall, Tudor. Eighty-nine-Vorse, Naumberg, Griswold, Reisner, Latta. Griffing, Richardson, Kilvert, Marquand Hunneman; substitutes, Grew, Bent.
