Cornwall, 8; Harvard, 2.

The champion lacrosse team of the world, the Cornwalls of Canada, met Harvard yesterday afternoon and showed how lacrosse can be played. It was their first game of the season, but the men showed no signs of lack of practice, or fatigue and outplayed Harvard at every point. The game was called at 4.11, and in 15 seconds the first goal was thrown by Kennedy for Cornwall. For the next fourteen minutes the ball was kept well in Harvard's territory, and at the end of that time Kennedy got another goal from a scrimmage. Our men began to get discouraged by the superior play of their adversaries, and it took only four minutes for Tudhope to score another point for Cornwall. After six minutes lively work Huntress secured the ball and threw the first goal for Harvard. Kennedy threw another goal in four minutes and then time was called.

Harvard played well at first when play was resumed, but could not prevent Tudhope from throwing a goal in twelve minutes and another eight minutes later. Two more goals followed in quick succession for Cornwall, thrown by Black and McDonald. Harvard again braced, and by good passing and running worked the ball down the field. Thorndike threw the last goal about two minutes before time was called.

The features of the game were the dodging of Kennedy and Tudhope and the accurate throwing of the Cornwall team as a whole. Drake and Towle did the best work for Harvard. The teams were made up as follows:-
