The fourth annual bench show of the New England Kennel Club will be held in Mechanics' Hall, Boston, on April 3, 4, 5 and 6. The cash prizes offered amount to $3,500 and there are challenge cups to be given in the mastiff class.

The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston has just received a fine specimen of the rare monuments of the Hyksos Kings of Egypt, under the last of whom Joseph was prime minister. It is a headless sphinx of black granite and bears the rare monumental name of Setnekht, the last monarch of the dynasty of Rameses II.
All the best reserved seats, that is the south floor and west gallery front seats, are sold for the second meeting on March 17. There are yet a number of good seats left for the last day. Part of the tickets at the Co-operative store have been taken to Bartlett's and may be obtained there.
