Harvard vs. Marlboro.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Marlboro presented a weak team against Harvard yesterday afternoon, and the result was a defeat by the score of sixteen to two. For the last two years, Marlboro has defeated us, but the team has been greatly weakened by the loss of several good men. Only five innings were played yesterday, as the visitors left early in order to catch a train. The game was remarkable for the number of errors made by the visitors, who evidently were not in practice. No less than ten Harvard men got first on errors. Harvard failed to score only in the second inning. In the fifth, on seven hits and a series of errors, Harvard scored eight runs. This inning was noticeable for the poor base-running of the home team.

Marlboro made its two runs in the first inning on hits by Johnson and Doyle, and errors by Henshaw, Linn and Luce. The score:-
