The annual winter meeting at Exeter will be held next Saturday. The following events will be contested: Bar vaulting, putting the shot, standing high jump, club swinging, high kick, horizontal bar, tumbling, parallel bars, running high jump and tug-of-war. First prizes will be given in all events, and where there are four or more entries second prizes will be awarded. There are fourteen entries for putting the shot, eight for the high kick and eight for the running high jump. There is a good number of contestants in the other events also. The principal interest of the meeting will be the contest between the class tug-of-war teams. Trial heats will be pulled between '88 and '89, '90 and '91, to-morrow. The winners of these heats will pull against each other in the tournament Saturday.
