DOJ Sues Boston and Mayor Michelle Wu ’07 Over Sanctuary City Policy
The regular meeting of the senior class of Columbia was held a few days ago, and the committee on the Class Day and Commencement exercises recommended the following: 1. That on the Sunday preceding Commencement, a Baccalaureate Sermon should be delivered by some prominent Divine. 2. That to the most popular of the lower classes a slight but significant gift should be presented on Class Day. 3. That an informal dance should succeed the Class Day exercises. 4. That in case the Valedictory were omitted from the Commencement exercises, it should take the place of the Class Day oration. 5. That Class Day, as well as Commencement speakers, should wear gowns.
The following officers and speakers were elected: Class-Day committee, C. H. Young (chairman), E. Ewell, H. A. Sill, H. A. Vedder, J. R. Fairchild, G. F. Warren and W. R. Powell; historian, J. J. Mapes; poet, L. C. Reamer; prophet, C. S. Baldwin; presentation orator, W. C. Humphreys; class-day orator, P. F. Hall. The proceedings were characterized by unanimity and the utmost good feeling.
