At a recent meeting of the trustees of Columbia College, it was decided that President Barnard should have exclusive control of the arrangement for the annual commencement, which this year is to begin on Sunday, June 9th. It was voted that hereafter all architects in the junior and senior years at the School of Mines shall be obliged to study plumbing and masonry at the New York trade schools, and money for such instruction was appropriated. Slight changes were also made in the chemical and mining engineering courses.
