The first meeting of the Chess club in their new rooms was held last evening. and proved vary successful. H. A. Davis '91, was elected secretary-treasurer in place of R. W. Herrick, resigned. The club will hold a chess tournament open to all members of the university.
There will be a blue book at Bartlett's for entries until Thursday evening at 8 o'clock. The entrance fee will be 25 cents. The tournament will be held in the club room in the old Hasty Pudding building, and all drawings and results will be announced in the CRIMSON. The following men were elected: F. E. Parker, '89, A. D. Hodges, '89, B. Dickson, '90, Stickney, '91, T. Aiken, '90.
