Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
A new library, costing $150,000, has lately been donated to the University of Vermont by Hon. Frederick Billings. The library is one of the masterpieces of the great architect Richardson, who planned Sever Hall and the Law School building.
Through the generosity of the late John P. Howard, a new medical department has recently been built. A member of the class of '88, Mr. Fred M. Course, returns to the University to take Prof. Wm. A. Deering's place, who tended his resignation last June.
Mr. J. K. Chickering, of Amherst, has been appointed professor of rhetoric and English. Professor Chickering has spent many years upon these branches of study, having been an instructor for twelve years before he entered Amherst as assistant professor. He remained at Amherst for a few years, and then entered the "dictionary department" of the Century Publishing Company, remaining here only one year when he was called to his present position.
Nearly 500 students are now enrolled in the University.
