Fact and Rumor.

The "smoker" of the Bicycle Club last evening was very enjoyable.

A number of candidates for the cricket eleven appeared on the field yesterday.

It is proposed to have a concert by our band on Holmes field before the championship games.

The actors in the H. P. C. theatricals met around the festal board at Parker's after their performance Monday evening.

Yesterday, in a game between the Memorials and Cambridge High School, the score was 21 to 6 in favor of the former.

Mr. Wendell Baker, '86, will probably enter for the amateur championship of America in the 220 yards dash.

A short synopsis of the sophomore theme will be due on Thursday, April 23rd. This synopsis will be returned a week later.

Nominations for President and Vice President of Memorial will be received at the Auditor's office at any time before noon of April 28th; for Directors, before noon of April 29th.

At the last meeting of the Chess Club the following officers were elected: President, R. Hayward; Secretary, G. Santayana; Executive Committee, E. L. Dresel, T. N. Rhinelander, J. W. Thoron, and the President and Secretary ex-officio.

To commemorate Paul Revere's ride, lanterns were suspended from several of the Cambridge church towers last Monday evening. The bells were also rung soon after sundown.

Last evening's Globe copies the editorial that appeared in the Monday issue of the CRIMSON on the needed vacation of two overworked officials of this college, and asks, "why neglect the Bursar."
