The first hare and hounds run of the Bicycle Club took place yesterday afternoon and was eminently successful. The hares, Bailey, '91, and Brown, '91, started from University at 4.17 p. m. and ware followed five minutes later by the eleven hounds. The route taken by the hares was up Brattle street to Mt. Auburn, then back Mt. Auburn street and over to Brighton, whence the scent was laid to Massachusetts Avenue. Here the bags were dropped and the hares made for home. They reached the gymnasium at six minutes past five. The hounds came in at 5.42 in the order named-C. W. Spencer, '90; Rogers, '90, and Merrill, '90. Cups will be given to the hares and to the first hound.
