The Yale fall sports on Saturday afternoon were very successful. The events were well contested and many of the finishes were close. The Harvard team was not very fortunate, winning only three second prizes.

The 120-yards dash was run in six heats. In the trial heats, Moen, Bodley, Page and Mandell of Harvard got places, but failed to do so in the final heat, which was won by Walker, Yale '89, in 12 1-5 seconds; Estes, Manhattan Club, second.

The 600-yards run was won by Porter of Amherst in 1m. 13s.; Sturgis of Harvard was a close second.

The 300-yards run was won by Walker of Yale in 32 2-5 seconds.

The three-fourths of a mile steeplechase was won by Gilbert of the New York Athletic Club in 4 minutes, 38 4-5 seconds; Davenport of Harvard second.
