The first meeting of the Shooting Club took place yesterday afternoon and was highly successful in all respects. The day brought out a large number of spectators who were well repaid for their visit. The best shooting was done by Lamb, R. H. Post and Greene. Some excellent material was found among the freshmen. Ten men entered in the competition for the Founder's cup, which went to R. H. Post. '91, who broke eleven out of fifteen birds. In order to get permanent possession of this cup, it must be won four consecutive times, or eight times in all. Thus far there have been five trials, two of which have been won by Palmer, '88, and one each by Clyde, '88; Greene, '89, and Post, '91. The next trial takes place on November. 18th.
