Dix is the following: I give to the president and fellows of Harvard college the flags and the accompanying parchments which were given to me by the United States government, to be carefully preserved in memory of the patriotic and heroic sons of Harvard who devoted themselves to maintain the integrity of the Union and lost their lives during the war of the rebellion.
