The nine was out-doors on Monday for the first time this year. Good material was noticeable, but, of course, no predictions of our chances next term can as yet be made. The first game will be played here April 2, with the University of Pennsylvania. The tug-of-war team will compete with Yale and Columbia in the Twenty-third Regiment games in Brooklyn, the evening of April 2. Other members of the athletic team are entered in a few of the events.

Mr. Garrett, '69, president of the B. amp; O. R. R., and his family were the guests of Dr. McCosh recently. It was Mrs. Garrett's first visit to Princeton, and she expressed herself delighted with the college. Mr. Garrett, as a true son, remembered his Alma Mater by a gift of $8000 to the Art School now building. He also consented to read a paper on the relations of the B. amp; O. R. R. and its employees at one of Dr. McCosh's celebrated library meetings.

The physical laboratory, donated by the class of '77 as a decennial gift, will be completed by next June. The class will hold its reunion in this building. This class is one of the best ever graduated from Princeton. Five of our present faculty were members of it.
