The Freshman Banjo Club.

A freshman banjo club is very useful in developing material for the 'Varsity club in after years. The '91 Banjo Club promises to be the best Freshman Banjo Club the college has ever had. It has an abundance of good material and has been doing splendid work. Two concerts have been given already by the club, one at Somerville and one in Tremont Temple in Boston; and considering the short time the club has been organized, its work at these concerts was very fine. A quartette from the club has played at Southboro, assisting the '91 Dramatic Club. Several concerts will be given by the club during the winter besides the joint concert of the Freshman Glee and Banjo clubs in the spring. The members of the clubs are as follows: 1st banjos, Gray, Pease, Williams, Leland, Osgood; 2d banjos, Garceau, Bigelow, Hambleton, mandolins, Howells, Fields; guitars, Jones, Whitehouse. The president is G. L. Osgood; secretary, J. M. Howells.
