PHILLIPS EXETER, 5; '89, 3.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

'89 was defeated on Saturday by Phillips Exeter by the score of 5 to 3. The work of both batteries was notably good. The freshmen played a good game in the field but could not bat Park, only getting four hits and twelve striking out. Bingham also pitched finely, fourteen of the Academy boys striking out. Both catchers did good work and Clark and Wurtenberg made good stops. Morgan made a clean home run in the fourth inning, and Huntington and McClung also batted well.
