Cleveland-Harvard Club.

Last week the alumni of Harvard residing in Cleveland, O., organized a Harvard Club.

Rev. F. L. Hosmer, pastor of the church of the Unity, presided, and Mr. J. H. McIntosh was secretary.

Mr. Angell read the report of the committee appointed at the previous meeting to submit constitution and by-laws. The committee deemed a constitution unnecessary and reported bylaws, which, after being slightly amended, were adopted as follows:

"1. The name of this Association shall be the Harvard Club of Cleveland, O.

"2. The officers of the club shall consist of a president, two vice presidents, a secretary and a treasurer. They shall be elected at the annual meeting and shall serve one year, or until their successors are elected. The duties of the officers shall be those usually incident to their positions.

"3. An executive committee of five members, one of whom shall be the secretary of the club, shall be chosen at the annual meeting. The members of the executive committee shall be residents of the city of Cleveland and shall be selected from those members of the club who have been connected with Harvard college. The executive committee shall have general charge of the business of the club and shall elect the members.

"4. All persons who have received any degree from the university and all those who have been students in any department of the university for one year or more shall be eligible for membership. All persons desirous of becoming members may make application to the secretary of club.

"5. The annual meeting shall be held in the last week of December, or the first week of January of each year at a date to be fixed by the executive committee. The secretary shall give due notice of the meeting to each member. Special meetings may be called by the executive committee on due notice.

"6. Each member of the club shall pay an annual assessment, for current expenses, of $2. The expenses of the annual dinner shall be equally divided among those who, upon due notice, have signified their intention to be present.

"7. Additions to amendments, or repeal of any article of these by-laws may be made by a two-thirds vote of the members present at the annual meeting called for that purpose, upon the notice of its object.

The following officers were elected: President, Prof. Edwin S. Gregory, class of "52; vice-presidents, Rev. F. Hosmer, '62, N. S. Coolidge, '64; secretary, J. H. McIntosh, '84, treasurer, Prof. C. F. Mabery of Case school of applied science, P. G. '81; executive committee, F. J. Wing, '72; A. St. John Newberry, '76; Harry Edwards, '83; Charles Mitchell, '81; J. H. McIntosh, '84.
