The Inter-collegiate Rowing Association, which is now composed of Columbia, Cornell, Bowdoin, Pennsylvania and Brown has decided to have its annual regatta on the 4th of July next. The race will be rowed on either Lake Quinsigamond, George or Saratoga. At a recent meeting held in New York, Pennsylvania and Cornell voted in favor of racing in eight-oared shells instead of the four-oars previously used. The association decided to have an eight-oared race if any two colleges should send eight-oars; this race to occur a week after the regular race. A single scull race will also be on the programme.
