Last evening about 130 members of the junior class assembled in Upper Massachusetts to hold their annual class meeting.

President Trafford called the meeting to order at quarter of eight. Atter the minutes had been read and accepted the president stated that the object of the meeting was the election of officers for the ensuing year and the taking of action on the death of William Levi, a member of the class who died last July.

The president then called for nominations for the office of president. Mr. Trafford was the only nominee and was elected by acclamation on a motion by Mr. Woodbury.

Mr. Balch was nominated for the office of vice-president and was unanimously elected.

Mr. Parker was unanimously reelected to the joint office of treasurer and secretary.

Nominations for captain of the eleven were then called for. Mr. Perkins was the only nominee and was elected by acclamation.

Mr. Parker was re-elected captain of the crew.

Mr. McPhearson was the only nominee for the office of captain of the nine and was elected by unanimous vote.

The chair then asked what action the class would take in regard to the death of Mr. Levi.

Mr. Hunter moved that the president be empowered to appoint a committee to draw up resolutions of sympathy, and that a copy of the same be sent to the parents of Mr. Levi. The motion was seconded and carried. The chair appointed the following gentlemen to serve on this committee : Messrs. Faxon, Griswold and Hunter, who, the chair stated, had been friends of Mr. Levi, and who, he thought, were, for this reason, best able to express the sympathy of the class.

As there was no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9 o'clock.

The meeting throughout was marked by good feeling, and the unanimity of the class on all questions brought before it was unusual.
